So it won't win any beauty contests but I am still very proud of this, in fact it's safe to say I am disproportionately proud given it is just some recycled wood, wire and nails. My garden came with an old picnic table that was rotten in places and no use as it was so we salvaged all the good wood and found some extra wooden slats in the shed to recycle into a much needed compost bin. The garden also had various abandoned rolls of wire, one of which was the perfect length for cutting into three pieces for this bin.
It's not in it's proper place in this photo, my other half needs to clear out the area where it will go and then it will be sunk into the ground slightly to hold it in place, that's why the middle and right hand side are so slanted in this picture. I'll see how it goes for now, I may need to add a couple of smaller pieces of wood on the 4th and 5th rungs to strengthen where the planks don't meet...but given it only needs to hold the waste in place until it composts it doesn't need to be all that strong.
The idea of a divided bin like this is so that you can fill up one side first and then by the time you've finished filling up the second side, the first side will have composted and be ready to go on the garden.
